Kajima first became involved in the property business in Europe over twenty years ago with the development of an office building in partnership with Stanhope, in Red Lion Square, London. This was followed by high profile, high quality office projects in both Frankfurt and London. In Frankfurt we teamed up with Tishman Speyer and Citibank to create the iconic 63-storey Messeturm, while in central London we successfully developed 1 London Wall in partnership with Hammerson. We are now moving into a new phase of our development with the acquisition of 5 Savile Row, an elegant office building in Mayfair with a floor area of approximately 3,000 sqm.

Kajima has carried out a number of large scale, mixed-use developments in the UK, including Stockley Park; a beautiful landscaped Business Park near Heathrow Airport, as well as the JVC Business Park, for the Japanese electronics giant. In Berlin we supported Sony and Tishman Speyer by developing the groundbreaking Sony Center, and in Provence, in the South of France, we have created the successful Saint Endréol Golf and Spa Resort.

We have also delivered many public sector projects in the UK, where we have developed offices, schools, libraries, and healthcare buildings under the Private Finance Initiative. Our success has stemmed from a careful understanding of our clients’ requirements and a resolute focus on achieving the correct all round solution.
